This is my first Unreal project, a collaboration with my partner, who was responsible for environment design and narrative design. The project includes a total of seven quests, two of which are puzzle quests: the Drag & Drop Puzzle and the Slide Puzzle. The other quests involve location-based tasks to find specific targets, escaping from a killer with a gun, and implementing flight control mechanisms.

The Legend of Inari Shine 稲荷神社の伝説

Project Overview
Chihiro embarks on an adventure to a long-lost island, separated from the world for centuries. The game features three levels, with the final level concluding in a boss battle against Izanami. Set against the backdrop of ancient Japan, players navigate through challenges and uncover a dark narrative throughout their journey.
My Contributions
Responsible for character design & setup, NPC and enemy mechanism, quest and inventory system, and character animation in this project. Also be the one who compile and finalise the game.

As a project that needed to be completed in two weeks, it was a challenge for me and my team member. The first level aims to introduce the background story of the character, with the main quest being to find three masks amidst numerous obstacles such as unfriendly NPCs and fake masks, making the player's journey challenging. The second level takes place on several floating islands, where players must navigate to three separate side islands to solve puzzles and unveil the final mystery island in the middle. The last level features a boss fight mechanism where players must break the shield before they can damage the boss. Behavior trees, AI controllers, animation blueprints, actor components, user-defined structures, etc., were utilized to implement the game idea.

Fushimi Island

Open World Game Environment Design
Project Overview
The creation of Fushimi Island was inspired by a novel depicting a character trapped on an island abundant with ancient Japanese culture, set to host a dark god festival. The outdoor environment includes several landmarks such as the beach platform, mountain temple, and dark Buddha stone.
My Contributions
This was an individual project where I handled all aspects of landscape sculpting, landscape material, object placement, lighting, and post-processing independently.

This is my first outdoor open-world game environment design project, where the entire environment was created using a 31x31 quads section size. The map is divided into several areas, including the beach with stalls and a shipside, the town/village with the Buddha tower in the background, the forest area surrounding the mountain, and the mountain with its temple. Lighting and post-processing were meticulously implemented to enhance the overall results.
